WEE TIAN BENG

BIOGRAPHY

Wee Tian Beng was the first local comic artist to successfully break into the international comics market scene. His most widely-acclaimed work was the comic adaptation of the famous Chinese “wuxia” novelist Louis Cha’s Return of the Condor Heroes, and has went on to produce his own original long-running series such as The Celestial Zone and most recently NEO ERA. Since his debut, his comics had sold over several million copies worldwide, which was considered a commercial miracle within the then almost-non existent Singapore comics industry.

Presently, Tian Beng serves as the Managing Director of his own publishing company TCZ Studio Pte Ltd, as well as taking the role of President of Singapore Comics Society and the Representative of Singapore of International Comic Artists Conference.
