Anthology 2022 [closed for submissions]
In 2022, COMIX.SG will be producing their first anthology publication by comic artists in Singapore. The theme of this year’s anthology is “Nice to Meet You!”. Our goal is to showcase the wonderful diversity of local comic creators. Creators of all ages and art styles are welcome! Submissions are now open and will end 08 March 2022.

Editor’s Pick Awards (new!)
Based on the merit of the submissions, the anthology’s editors will select 3 as Editors’ Picks. The 3 winning submissions will have their comic pages arranged prominently in the book and the creators will be given a cash prize of S$200 each.
Submission requirements:
Length of work: 1 to 16 pages (any number of pages is okay!)
File format: PDF (INDD packages optional)
Colour profile: CYMK
Page size: A5 (148x210mm)
Artwork resolution: 300DPI
Fonts to be embedded
Crop marks and 3mm bleed along all edges
Works should be rated PG or G. Editors reserve the right to remove works that are deemed unsuitable for young readers.
Limited to new and unpublished works only. Work that has been published online, including social media posts, is considered to have been previously published and should not be submitted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a restriction to how many stories I can add to the anthology?
Yes, a solo creator is allowed to submit only 1 story. However, if the story is a team effort, it will be counted as a separate submission.
Can I share the story I made for the anthology on my social media?
Yes, only after the anthology book is finished and published.
Can I submit multiple stories and hope the best one gets picked for the anthology?
We are not selective with the anthology submission as we intend to collate stories from different comic artists, giving everyone a chance to be seen. So, it is best to pick one story you want to be known for.
Do you accept submissions from people outside Singapore?
You need to be a Singaporean, PR, or a long-term resident in order to submit for the anthology.
Will the anthology be put up on sale after it is done?
Yes, it will be on sale. Asiapac Books will assist with the distribution and the sales of the anthology. Artists will be entitled to a free copy of the printed anthology and can enjoy wholesale discount of 30% for further copies.
My story needs time and I cannot make it for the anthology deadline. Will there be more opportunities after that?
The anthology will happen every year starting in 2022. There will always be the next anthology when you can submit.
Do I need to include a self-introduction inside my submission pages?
The submission form includes a request for your artist bio and picture. We will be using that information to create standardised “About the artist” pages for all submissions. So there’s no need to include a self-intro in the comic pages.
Are there any requirements for the submission in terms of colours?
No, both grayscale and colours are welcomed.
Is the anthology book only available in Singapore?
No, it will be also available for overseas orders.
What is the theme for the anthology?
"Nice to meet you" Showcase your comic work in the effort of introducing yourself in the comic scene.
Can I submit a remake version of my old comic?
Yep. As long as you do not share the remake version on social media or publish it.
Do I keep the copyright of my comic?
By submitting to the anthology, you agree to assign COMIX.SG the non-exclusive first publication rights. You will keep the copyright of your comic.
