Characterized by her expressive and somewhat rustic style of art, Justine Acerden is a Singapore-based Filipino artist that favors the use of pen & ink as her medium. Her art is personally inspired by the black and whites of life – feelings, thoughts, experiences, people, surroundings and all the in-betweens – vividly translated to paper as visual narratives with overwhelming lines blended with the sharpness and boldness of the medium. The aim is to communicate by illustrating the complexity of human dramas in a visual narrative.

As an Architect and Interior Designer by profession, Justine – also known as her pseudonym, PXSHBXL – enjoys creating sketches as a way to seek quietude and connection within herself.
