Evangeline Neo, or Evacomics as she is more popularly known online, began her comic roots by illustrating her own webcomics in 2007 and since then garnered a large following on her various online platforms. Her humble and albeit unexpected beginning as a cartoonist started in 2004, when she won scholarships to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in San Francisco and her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Tokyo in 2010.

Her stay in Japan led to the creation of her seminal work Eva, Kopi and Matcha (2014) which depicts and satirises cultural differences between Singapore and Japan, and has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia and Vietnamese. Her latest book, A Manga Lover's Tokyo Travel Guide was released worldwide in 2019 by international publisher Tuttle.

Besides a passion for Japanese culture and food, her hobbies include yoga, hiking, traveling, and Chinese Metaphysics.
