BIOGRAPHY
“We are all Good Citizens”
Dan Wong, popularly known by his online moniker “A Good Citizen”, is a commercial illustrator living, working and plying his trade in Singapore. His illustrations and paintings usually follow a Singaporean-centric theme, touching on instances socio-political and domestic with a satirical light.
Dan places great emphasis on entertaining, provoking, and finally rewarding his audiences with his work. He aims to craft humour and satire to the highest degree every single time he sets his brush to the canvas. He has been doing so for close to 10 years, plying his illustrative trade in a variety of industries from fine arts to advertising, from comics to games.
As part of SG Bicentennial 2019, he completed a 45-page comic titled The Aceh Attack of 1613, depicting the tale of when Singapore was attacked by 20,000 Acehnese warriors after their attack on the Johor Sultanate. It can be read online for free from the Bicentennial.sg link here.
